Irish Apple Cake

  • 250g Lakeland Dairies Butter
  • 300g caster sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 420g plain flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp mixed spice
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 600g diced apple
  • Millac Real Dairy Whipping Cream


Cook the apple in a little Lakeland Dairies Butter and sugar and set aside.

Place the flour, Lakeland Dairies Butter, baking powder, spices and sugar in a bowl and crumb with your fingertips.

Add the eggs and apple and mix well. Place into a lined cake tin and Bake for 45 minutes at 180°C.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before cutting.

Serve with Millac Real Dairy Whipping Cream.
